Researcher Grant Cameron published an article Friday in which he stated new evidence suggested the legendary Majestic 12 group was once a reality. In his piece titled, 'Is There a UFO Government Control Group? - New Evidence', Mr. Cameron wrote that retired Colonel John Alexander recently made statements helping confirm the previous existence of the MJ-12. Colonel Alexander did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
MJ-12 was an alleged group of noteworthy political, scientific and military figures charged with investigating crashed extraterrestrial spacecraft and their occupants. A series of purported classified documents allegedly leaked from unknown sources have long fueled controversy and debate within the UFO community. The existence of the alleged group and the MJ-12 documents, if authentic, are considered by many to virtually confirm an extraterrestrial presence due to their explicit nature.
Cameron referenced comments made by the colonel in the article published Friday. Widely known for expressing perspectives adamantly denying conspiracies and cover ups, Alexander was quoted in an interview conducted in June as rather uncharacteristically saying, “I had someone whisper to me that (MJ-12) had existed. I didn’t think it had existed at all, but when I looked into it and asked if the names were correct, and they said yes and that should tell me what I need to know to figure it out.”
However, Colonel Alexander apparently added that he thought the group prioritized other topics over UFOs. Cameron wrote that although Alexander's opinion of the mission of MJ-12 differed from the UFO control group interpretation, the significance of the colonel's statements could not be emphasized enough.
