Cheer up - Benny's here!

Free episodes:

Look at guy in blue dressing gown. Probably could not even get away with a sexy visual gag like that these days.
Thank god Benny's heyday was the 70's when saucy Brit humour was de rigour. I remember when Benny died and I swear, the whole of the UK was in mourning. Benny was loved all around the world now and supposedly at any point in time he is being shown in one country or another.

Legend.

Good Ol' Benny Hill! Nothing made me laugh more as a kid then this brand of humor.

Little Jackie Wright getting his head slapped and the Gorgeous Louise English could just melt a man a ten paces with that face of hers.

Also nothing more influenced my awakening sexuality then Bennys "Hills Angels". Beautiful women running in lingerie, accidentally having there dresses ripped off in shock and dismay and working out in slow motion. Ah the glory days before the internet ;)

And here's a rare picture of jackie wrights sister, Jacqueline Wright

I can sorta see the resemblance

I either wanted to be able to play this on sax or maybe 'us and them' from Floyd, or I wanted to play 'whole lotta love' etc on guitar.
The guitar won out but it was pretty damn close.

Haha - knew you were fan without asking Mike.

Dyingsun - I didn't know youtube selected countries or not like that? I can't think of a reason why that should be the case? Some copyright law?

Hehe, be glad the guitar won out. ;) Same here as well, though I had drums to choose as well. :)

Well I eventually got myself a decent starter electronic kit and I can hold a simple enough beat and chuck in a few crashes/hihats etc but anything past that I have zero hope. I think it is very common to be in love with one instrument but keep a longing for another, different one. Guitar has to be first but I do wish I was John Bonham doing some fills from Led Zep I.

Yeah i grew up with benny hill, The NZBC was basically a clone of the BBC, identical content.
I can only watch his stuff when my wife is not home, since he bears an uncanny resemblance to a creepy uncle who did unspeakable things to her and her sisters when they were young.

But yeah love british comedy dads army, two ronnies ,are you being served etc etc

To this very day i cant walk into a hardware store without being tempted to ask for four candles

@Ward & Mulder - I am most pleased to see some more lovers of classic smut comedy from the master himself!

Fancy a chase round the park anyone?;)

For about a year (1979-1980) a local pbs station on saturday nights carried benny hill, two ronnies, fawlty towers, are you being served, monty python (of course) I always considered it one of the most inspired blocks of programing I ever watched.it was a close tie to a nyc station that broadcast taxi, mash, the odd couple and the honeymooners in a block

May I slightly hijack the benny thread for a couple of my taxi favorites ?

Same episode

And jim getting his driver's license

And latka's things you need in life. The track is a little off on this one, still funny though

I had the Benny Hill tune as a ring tone set for when my manager rang at my last engineering job... the guy was an idiot and it worked well.

Pity there are no more comedy shows like Benny did .
