Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that there is a “high probability” that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and said he fears the Obama administration’s policies will make it more likely the attempt will succeed.

In an interview Tuesday with Politico, Cheney unyieldingly defended the Bush administration’s support for the Guantanamo Bay prison and coercive interrogation of terrorism suspects.

And he asserted that President Obama will either backtrack on his stated intentions to end those policies or put the country at risk in ways more severe than most Americans — and, he charged, many members of Obama’s own team — understand.

Cheney sewing the seeds of doubt for the new administration it seems. Good work.

Tommy, what do you make of Minetta's testomony to the 9/11 Commission? At best it means our former VP needed to be questioned as to WHAT THE HELL Mineta was talking about. At best he ALLOWED the Pentagon to be struck by Flight 77 (IMO that is what hit the building and not various other conspiracies) because he is either involved in a criminal manner or such a fucking dope he allowed the ONE building in our country that by ANY MEANS could not be compromised, NO ACCEPTIONS!

I have been reading the 9-11 report and it is full of contradictions and utter nonsense, but....

A lot of the same names keep popping up from the first WTC bombing, the OKC Bombing, and a few other little events that took place. Lots of the same people keep popping up where terror events take place, and it's not coincidence. For anyone to tell me that these fuckers didn't know what was coming is a fucking moron.

When you find out after reading The Oklahoma City Bombing and the Politics of Terror, you find out that Timothy McVey, and Mohammed Atta stayed at the same hotel on the same nights, you realize that there's more to terrorism than simple goofballs doing something stupid.

I will remember the sound of that blast forever. I was about 5 miles away and it sounded like it happened right outside the window. Where did you get the information about McVey and Atta at the same Hotel on the smae night? I would like to see that.

What this amounts to is placing a hopeful bet on a future tragedy: by making these remarks now he's positioning himself so that if the worst does happen he and his collaborators can claim it was because you weren't doing enough torturing and warring.
