I carefully skimmed the interview and enjoyed it.  I appreciate anybody who isn't overtly dogmatic about their faith (or lack thereof), and who can discuss contradictions and problems within it.  It's the same for politics, too.  I'm pretty liberal myself (registered independent), but I very much appreciate when Pat Buchanan vehemently disagrees with his party of choice, or Dennis Kucinich stands for his principles against his party, his president and his constituents. More than anything in religion and politics I dislike a sheep/partisan/hive mentality. And yes, I'm guilty of it myself from time to time, but we all make mistakes… (too bad I manage to make some every damn day :). In short, thanks for the link!

Any good so far? I read everything he'd written up to Tommyknockers in 1986-1989, but got stuck with that one and never got back into the flow of his books since. I've revisited the old ones, but I haven't finished a single post 1989 book of his.
