Chrome Has Blocked Podtrac For Malware

Actually, it's specifically blocking podtrac.com, which the Paracast uses. The message says that even though we may have visited this site safely in the past that it is now known to harbor maleware.

I haven't tried iTunes but Chrome will not even allow a person to download the shows from the Paracast site. Chrome does not give an option to continue anyway. It's outright blocked.

***EDIT: There's a button that reads "advanced". If you click on it it gives an option to continue to the site anyway.

I removed the Podtrac redirect on the radio show sites for now. I have not heard from Podtrac in months, but we depend more on the stats from Blubrry anyway. Maybe they were hacked, but downloads should proceed normally now.

From Podtrac:

Podtrac Measurement Update
Dear Gene,

Yesterday we discovered an issue with the podtrac.com domain that impacts some non-iTunes podcast users, and we wanted to make you aware.

The Chrome browser blocked the podtrac.com domain, reporting it as malware, followed later by Firefox and Safari as they use the same malware list as Google. At the same time, Chrome's diagnostic page said there were no reports of malware for this domain in the last 90 days. And for more more than eight years, we have not seen a browser return the domain as malware. We scanned our servers for malware and found none. We checked with our hosting companies, and similarly they did not have any reports of malware on their servers. We requested a review from Google.
Sometime between 1am and 7am Eastern today, Chrome and the other browsers corrected their listing of the podtrac.com domain, so the podtrac.com services are working again in all browsers. We regret the inconvenience.

Thanks,
Podtrac Support

A couple of months ago one of my domains got blocked for no reason.

I contacted Google and they removed it from their malware list, but it took six days.

These days it's almost impossible to run a web site without some type of relationship with Google.

This is why I promote the use of old skool RSS feeds like
