I'll probably get my credit card statement around about then and believe me, after Christmas that's going to be one big f*****g crisis

More seriously, I think the sense of "there's going to be a crisis come along on the 21st, 22nd..." is simply "by the time we get to that date there will probably be some new crisis we need to deal with because something unexpected always happens". The date is just related to the interviewer's question (i.e. the day after the new president's inauguration).

Must admit, though, on first listen and taken out of context this is a good one!
