Those little jerks always eat me alive! Although when I hear about altering a creature like that I always pause and wonder if there could be an unforeseen negative environmental impact we should be concerned about.

You know it will come down to that. They will just find a new food source. what if they developed a liking for honeybee blood? Those poor guys have enough to deal with.

As to the tech, i think its OK myself, as i understand it if they stop releasing the mutants with the lethal gene, the system goes back to normal quickly
