Cool New Logo

Free episodes:

It looks strangely familiar. Was it inspired by anything?

I thought it was reminding me of some of the graphics used in X-Files promotional items, but that doesn't seem to be correct.

I have seen the image of a hand illuminated from behind somewhere...this is driving me crazy. Hmmmm.

I suspect X-Files may have been a part of it, but the creator, our own Jeff Ritzmann, can explain further. Thanks, Jeff, for a wonderful job.

EVERYBODY DRINK!

(just kidding, just kidding, I enjoy Ritzmann a lot.) :D

Actually I didn't even think about the X-Files...although I do recall something like an aura photography shot of a hand in it's opening sequence...right?

Truthfully, every Paranormal logo is some kind of friggin eyeball, so that was out. The flaming hand is something I recall seeing as a small wee boy. I'm pretty sure it was at my Nana's house when I spent the night. When I got up to take a leak (if I remember right) when I walked back into the room, it was on the wall above the bed, like someone had a handful of lighter fluid and pressed the wall with it, leaving a print. I bolted and woke Nana up, and when she came to see it there was nothing there.

Thats as best as I remember it.

There's others that have seen that too...that I know well. It just sort of popped in my head as the moniker for the Paracast.

I've been trying to think of what it reminded me of. It had been bugging me for a bit, then I remembered. It reminds me of the technique used by some ancient people in respect to "rock art" or petroglyphs. I've seen a number of these, but could only find a single photo of what I'm reffering to.

A lot of cultures would dye or paint their hands and imprint them on a wall. However I believe there is more ancient tradition of collecting a dye type of material, placing your hand on the wall and then blowing all this dye over your hand and the wall. This leaves a shadow effect of the hand. A simple, yet profound message to the future generations saying perhaps we were here long ago and we pondered our existance and place in the universe.

Cool design nonetheless.
