Dan Akroyd

Japans Underground Robot Army
This guy has been involved with the UFO field for quite some time and I was wondering what the rest of you paracasters thought about him in that regard.

Don't bother commenting on his acting ability. Ghostbusters are untouchable.

Come on... Dan is okay. It's David Sereda that's the douche. He did that special with Dan Akroyd that was released to DVD, which had all the earmarks of some fucking idiocy played out on a pro-sumer video recorder.

We all know what Sereda is about. He's a tool. Just like a bunch of other tards in the business who have TV shows.

Dan has claimed his Psi-Factor show was based on real cases. After watching a little of some of the shows I find this unlikely. A mini black hole in someone's living room?

A mini-Black Hole???

Just wait til you buy a house. You're going to find that black holes open up all over the place and suck the life and wealth out of you.

some, not all.

I don't recall him saying some.

He's also said that there is a team of experts that the show is based on. To my knowledge no one in the field knows what the hell he is talking about. I recall Don Ecker and Dwight Shultz talking about this years ago. Maybe he'll (Don) chime in.

Where's the photo/s vid/s of the Ohare UFO he boasted about? It's well past the end of the year he said.

He thinks aliens told him to come outside and look at them.

I watched his unplugged vid, or at least tried, didn't finish it. He came across as rather narcisistic (sp?).

I liked coneheads when I was a child though.

Probably be awhile before I buy a house. I can barely afford booze and cigs, especially since the price of smokes went way up. Ew, I hate moving.

:D LOLOLOLOL !!!

You sure you're not my brother in law ROFL !!! As I write this, his house is filling with water. Last year a 2 inch crack straight down the middle of his home appeared in his foundations, ignored it and finished his basement to hide it. Now he's calling his insurance company to register a claim ::)

As for Dan Akroyd... a bit flaky ;)

What, you have an alternative explanation for Where The Other Sock Went?
(Not to mention where all those carrots come from whenever I throw up after partying too hard, even if I didn't eat any carrots...which just proves that alcohol warps the spacetime continuum. Which is also the real reason it's hard to walk when "drunk". But I digress)

bringing this back up, would still like to hear him as a guest, I'm curious how he would answer some of these questions.

For Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters I'll be eternally a fan of the guy. On UFOs, he knows a little more than the average guy, but the interview with Sereda, he quoted a couple of cases that are known to be pretty suspect. I haven't seen it since maybe last year, my abiding memory is wondering if he was serious and then the couple of clangers.

He's not on my list of people to refer to when reading up on a UFO incident.

For me, Dan Akroyd seems a bit analogous to Edgar Mitchell in the sense that he is a big name proponent for the reality of the subject / "disclosure" but doesn't have much to offer other than his opinion. I remember watching an interview with him and Sereda (I think) a while back and the only information I really gleaned from it was that Akroyd believes in UFOs.
