Think about it this way: Lucasfilm and ILM and THX are stocks, aren't they? You can buy and trade them on Wall Street, right?

I guess I'm just not getting it because as far as I'm concerned if you consider this in poor taste then you've already invested too much time in analyzing it. It's a meaningless bit of ceremony performed by corporate douchebags for other corporate douchebags.

There are more important issues to concern oneself with.

To my knowledge, they're all private companies, so the answer is no, you can't buy and trade them on Wall Street.

Sometimes I try to 'Use The Force' to make more than 7 digits before the decimal, appear in my checking account. I try really really hard as I can. It's just like 'Roy Neary' said to 'Ronnie', in Spielberg's CE3K movie, "Just close your eyes, and everything will be really pretty!" But it don't work for me so far. I could go to Las Vegas, like 'Rainman', but I'm only Autistic, MINUS the Savant. But making decimals magically appear in bank accounts works for the World's Big Money guys. I BELIEVE (!) They are using The Dark Side Of The Force.
