That is an image that is not doctored with done by the former chief astronomer at the naval observatory Tom Van Flandern.

How can you explain that. What are the statistical odds of a very real looking face being formed naturally?

Dave do you think its just coincidence?

This was taken from a Mars Satellite I forget the name of the Sattelite

I'm not David, but hope you don't mind if I chime in. The odds are good that if you scan a mostly barren planet you'll find all sorts of things. Just as you do when looking at clouds.

If that's the Cydonia face, it's been altered. If not, sorry. I've seen it before, and think it was trying to be passed off as the Cydonia face.

What do you think of the Kermit the frog picture? Coincidence maybe?

What about the have a nice day and Kennedy photo?

Thats definitely not the classic 'face on mars' anomaly. I think thats a case of the brain creating a face out of random objoects.

So are you saying the brain can basically influence a physical object. And form a very perpendicular face matching human measurments.

I dont see anything random in this picture

No, he's not saying that. Have you ever seen a face in the clouds? If so, was that artificial design? If not, look up in the daytime more.

Mars is certainly worthy of exploration. In fact, I was one of the people that e-mailed NASA when they weren't going to record the face. It turns out, they did record it, on my birthday. What kills NASA's interest, is the willingness of people to jump to conclusions. Be more skeptical, and your chances for proof increase.

Actually I find the smiley face in the middle of a crater more impossible. How is that possible?

Yes, I found it and Kermit more interesting than the so called fuzzy faces. I tried telling Hoagland this, but he said my mind was took over by bees from the hereneptanoon.... fargle. Sim there no sun. .Grrgle... hicup... Since then I've been worried.

Jeremy, DON"T STARE INTO THE CRATER! DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fluffy bunny slippers are not there for you... I don't care how cold your feet are. Do NOT look into the crater. You will see things, yes things... and then wonder..... and then after that, be a dumb ass..... more so than you and I ever have been. Then this world blows up..... and stuff.

Proof Vanilla Ice is a martian.

Wow, that was pretty funny, although............... that would be extremely interesting if a civilization on another planet out of all the things they could build an alter too they decided to commission a mile wide etching of Vanilla Ice.

Perhaps Ice really is 'back with my brand new invention?"

One of the best clips of Vanilla Ice is when he tries to explain on MTV news how 'Ice Ice Baby's' bass line is totally different than the Queen song, "Under Pressure".

I can see about 20 faces in patterns of leaves in the trees in my backyard. I'm no professional image analyst, but I think it's just a natural formation. Catholics see Jesus and Mary all over the place. It is a cool picture, though. Aaron's comment cracked me up. I envisioned an invasion of Wellsian tripods destroying cities with "Ice, Ice Baby" blasting at deadly volume.

All you have to do is look at this image taken from Mars in 2000 from NASA and if you have clear vision notice that it is artificially created somehow. Well if there is no life on Mars how can it be done?

The statistical odds of natural occurence in artistic quality of a face with perrportunate alignment nose to eyes is 1,000,000,000 to 1

I am going to ingulf myself in this and write a book once I learn to spell.
This needs study

I found something to research.

I hope you guys don't think I am a charlitane

OMG, I remember that. Too bad MTV was at fault. Funny how they played his vids, then once he was no longer hip, made fun of him.... DOUCHE FUCKING BAGS. The only thing worse than being a douche is milking it, and then pretend you didn't. MTV aired his shit, then later made fun of em...

What source did you get this from?? A billion to 1??

I went on a hike the other day and saw a lichen growing on a rock and it looked like an elephant. Seriously, no joke (not an elephant god, just an elephant). I sometimes ask my son what he sees as clouds pass by. All sorts of things.

I've certainly seen these pictures of Mars, but come to no conclusion that they are artificial. Apparently you have. What is it, besides a general appearance, that convinces you that these are artificial?? And what makes you derive the odds that you must have mathematically come up with??

I'm not trying to snuff this out, just wondering how you come to these conclusions by one picture. Even so, the picture needs to be artificially shaded and colored just to show what someone is looking at.

There are some interesting things on Mars, but I have to withhold any judgement until we get better data. And I don't particularly think EnterpriseMission is that place. Just my opinion.
