devils lake wisconsin...

Paranormal Adept
Recently My wife and I went to devils lake so she may preform a clensing ritual. the lake has a long and rich history of paranormal activity.
Originally known to the Native American Nakota Sioux’s as “M’de Wakan” — roughly translated as “Mystery” or “bad Spirit” Lake, although some insist that it simply means “sacred” — this stretch of deep, cold, salt-infested water has been known by many names over the centuries But it wasn’t until white settlers finally claimed the land in the middle of the 1800′s that the lake finally gained its current appellation: “Devil’s Lake.” It is a name, which residents claim, the lake lives up to.
There have been lake monster sightings 2 pics I post from the lakes website

You are most welcome! I will posting more as I go through over 100 pics! The lake has an "haunted" feel to it. I am researching the "thunder bird" legend. And will post it and other stories of the lake.

Dear Vesvehighfolk, I am usually more interested in sea and lake monsters, but the "bird mound" was the thing that caught my attention, until I saw this thread I had never heard of it before, so thank you again for posting it, also since I learned of the "bird mound" I have done a little armchair research about it but I didn't want to hijack your thread so I have created a new one here: Thunderbird thread | The Paracast Community Forums
I would be very interested to learn anything you can tell me about Thunderbirds.
Thank you again, best wishes. Harry

why the cleansing ritual?

My wife is a high priestess in her coven. In the past she preformed a drawing down ceremony in which she leaned dark enitys had been troubling several people we know. We went to the site to allow her to do a ritual to cleanse the sprits. Also to send to those named sprits of light to reverse the dark forces. My wife can explain it better. The site is considered sacred and holy.
