Yeah, "Mermaid, Body Found" sounds a little too much like "Mermaid, CSI." I'm amazed that people are still insisting this is some kind of documentary.
It's part of a trend. Animal Planet had "Mermaid Week" about a month or so ago. Realistically, if they'd combine that with "Shark Week", I would probably go ahead and watch it.

My 15 year old daughter is convinced this is real. "But what about this Dad?" or "What about that Dad?"
