Ok...wait a minute. I'm just some common Joe Schmo (er, Jane Schmo I guess) but how does one go about trademarking something that is widely used and not their property to begin with? Can we trademark Christmas or how about rain? Is someone going to trademark the sun or walking? Can I trademark Jan. 3rd birthdays because it's my birthday so that all other celebrations must be approved by me? I don't get how anyone can even entertain this idea. The fact that they are even trying vexes me.
