Same story.... the 'oldtimers', the pentagon, the confirmation.... and the denial.

Repeat, repeat, repeat. Until we get nose bleeds :D

He is now himself an old timer. Too bad the U.S. government can't acknowledge Roswell once and for all... country is made up of too many fundamentalist conservative groups I guess :(

Would this crack the makeup of the U.S. and create a real divide between liberal thinkers and religious right fanatics ?. This kind of revelation destroys, once and for all, any centrist idea that life begins on planet earth. I'm starting to think fundamentalists at high levels are keeping the lid on real tight !

Go Mitchell Go !!!

Why so many feel they have to constantly mix politics with EVERYTHING is beyond me. The board is about UFOs. What does that have to do with conservatism or liberalism? And btw, not all conservatives are "religious fanatics."

True... but look at the 'evangelical' component of George W. Bush's election/re-election.

Given the opportunity, there's enough weight (or critical mass) in america to keep its people in the dark ages. Look at the support 'intelligent design' got from GW ;)... as the rest of the world puked (and re-puked) at the concept. Look at the technological barriers (ex. stem cells...) imposed by GW.

IMHO, this is the real reason for non-disclosure :D

You need conservatives to keep a sane equilibrium in a democratic society... however the scales were tipped towards conservative insanity (2000-2008 ) for much too long. There's no way disclosure of extra-terrestrial presence in our solar system was remotely possible in that context  ... especially while new born young earth creationists were given credibility LOLOLOL.

Great, take it to a political board.
