Here is my Valentine's Day gift to everyone - the "director's cut" of Eternal Kiss is available at the Redstar Vimeo channel to watch for free from now until the end of February. Feel free to post it wherever you like - indeed, share it with as many folks as possible. It's all about building an audience, and that starts now for EK. The full-on HD version will be available in the more traditional venues thereafter.

Greg Bishop served as the Production Supervisor (i.e. my right-hand man) on the shoot, and you'll see a couple of familiar paranormal-personality names in the end credits. And big kudos to anyone who can spot the inside reference / tip of the hat to Stan Friedman! ;)

The blurb:

"The low budget indie feature Eternal Kiss tells the story of David Price, a thirty-something filmmaker who gets more than he bargained for when he sets out to make a documentary about people who believe in the existence of vampires, and finds himself the target of a very real vampire who is convinced that David is her soul-mate. David has secrets of his own, however, and a burgeoning love affair with Laura, the new girl in town, who may also be more than she seems. In the end, it all comes down to the question of whether true love can really conquer all!"

Written, Directed and Produced by Paul Kimball.

Featuring Joseph Gallaccio, Carly Street, Laura Bleasdale, Nigel Bennett, Christina Cuffari & David Connellan.

that seems really engaging and exciting, actually...i personally dislike corporate card-selling 'holidays' so much that i am gonna WAIT a couple of days to watch it. gonna watch it, though.

it DOES seem like vimeo has gotten more in touch with user needs in the past few months. when i joined it was like a robot zoo...

I'm a romantic at heart, even if it is channeled through Hallmark from time to time. ;-)

Vimeo is superior to YouTube, in my opinion, particularly because it allows for easier upload of longer films, and the quality is better. YouTube has a much larger reach, of course, but sometimes bigger isn't necessarily better. There's a place for both of them, and I use each for different things.
