Ever do anything OFF the internet?

I have noticed just about every person now does just about everything in their life from a keyboard and mouse, to the point that some people are sure they are now a genius because they are connected to everything that their computer does for them.

I think it makes people less likely to think, instead clicking and scrolling to find out things they normally would have used their brain for.

I remember using a pen and paper to write.
Also I remember when people interacted off the internet in the real world.
Now everybody spends all their time looking into a monitor.

Have you ever stepped away from your computer? and if so how did you deal with things?

One time about four months ago I ran out of hot pockets and jolt cola. I went outside and there was a great ball of burning flame high above casting a blinding light over everything and everyone. There were so many people and they didn't seem to mind. I managed to take shelter in doorways and under awnings and made my way to a sort of physical food-depot, which I assume is where they store the food before delivering it, where I could exchange actual paper money for goods. People tried to talk to me but it was difficult because I did not know how to vocalize important social words like "rotfl," "kthxbai," or "PWND."

Yesterday

I saw a Dad and Son playing catch on the Internet using a baseball

thats when I realized that

I need to

Surf a website about fruit and vegetable so I can get healthier:p

I have a miserable life; my day job actually keeps me away from the computer for 80 hours every week! Fortunately my wife bought me an iPod touch, which has Wi-Fi, so I can log back on every couple of hours when I'm near a hotspot.

To compensate I only sleep about four hours a day, so I can spend the remaining four each day surfing. It's difficult, but I manage.

LOL! Well right now, I work on a computer for my day job, so I tend to....multitask :D (always have some site minimized and check on it from time to time).

But yea I cook, read actual physical books (with the advent of things like The Kindle, ya wonder if books are being phased out!?), clean, shop, do errands out in the real world.....

The real world is sitting in front of a monitor reading & posting on a "forum" on something called "The Paracast". Everything else is actually a matrix.
