Explaining the California Drones?

Free episodes:

What came first, the Terminator or the Drone ;) - Looks like a case of jumping on the bandwagon to me..... would Fox have spent so much time on perpertuating the Drone mystery just for one episode? My guess is not.... someone on the team has spotted the Drones on the web, found that they are without signs of formal ownership and made good use of them in their series.

I think the Drone itself, hoax or otherwise, has become something of a recognised symbol of UFOs now and its design will probably influence various creations for some time.

Yeah, if FOX went through all this trouble to virally market one episode three years after the fact--it didn't really work out too well. This would be one viral marketing campaign that just didn't pay off. Pretty clever, virally marketing a show that they had no idea would even exist yet. :D

The drones were obviously not the creators of the show's work but I love them with all my mind, body, soul existence and mushy gush love love for just taking that crap (surely without permission) and using it for themselves for the hell of it.

The idiots who made the drone hoaxes will never admit they are full of of it.
And if they try to come out and get money from the studio they should be shot on sight.

BTW Sarah Connor Chronicles is a really good show.

Is it? I'm out of Smallville episodes, I need a new show to take it's place. I was thinking about giving Lost a try. Tons of them online. SC a prequel to Terminator movies?

The Screenrant link posted above is worth reading if only for the timeline breakdown. Production of Terminator: Sarah Connor was severely disrupted by the writer's strike, pushing back the "drone" episode by months - even though the viral campaign was already ongoing. (Publicity/marketing for shows begin way in advance).

Actually, the drones were created by this guy Android Jones, along with a few of his buddies. They work on all kinds of stuff, and apparently are In-Demand artists.

Unlike me. Sniffle.

No, they've basically made a branch timeline (advantages of a stroyline in which time travel is apparently possible but has seemingly little-to-no-impact on future events). The-long-and-the-short-of-it is Sarah Connor didn't die of cancer and Terminator 3 never happened. I've watched the show with luke warm interest but Summer Glau is starting to grow on me.

As for the drones, (I watch the show on the saturday repeat showing so I only just watched it) it would now appear to be either viral marketting or FOX fishing for storylines in the public domain sea.

Most likely the answer is the former, however if it isn't it will be interesting to see if the hoaxer comes forward to sue FOX over IP rights...

I started watching the first ep. tonight. Didn't really keep my interest. I haven't seen T3. I've only seen the first 2.
