FACS revisited

Paranormal Adept
There has been short discussion here of use of the Facial Action Coding System to assess truthfulness of on-camera testimony of ufo sightings and other extraordinary events. Objections were raised based on ramifications of questioning the integrity of individuals by use of such an abstract technology.

So--Starting with the assumption that FACS is a valid tool for assessing truthfulness, ( an issue in itself) what might be wrong with using it to assess video testimony of witnesses who are now deceased ? Recording technology as been around long enough so that quite a lot of such material now exists. Would such analysis be regarded as disrespectful to deceased witnesses? No more so, I would think, than analysis of printed historical material.
