Good show you guys. It usually takes me awhile to get into his shows but once I really start to get interested the two hours is already up. I think Scott seems like a genuine person with good information in the field.

I would like to hear more about David's,or anyone else's, thoughts about the media's reluctance to cover these topics. If there is some kind of mass mind control going on I think that is worthy of an entire paracast show.

David, I totally agree with you about the X conference. I was really disappointed to see the list of speakers and to see Salla and then Webre again is totally lame. God forbid someone from the Washington POst actually make the trek and then Webre is shouting about ethical higher level ET's, it further reinforce this topic being pushed to the margins.

Even the good speakers were the same ones from last year, nothing really new that makes it worth attending and I live 10 mins away (Dolan, Poindexter, Pope all spoke last year). The only reason I would go is because my friend and i have made it an annual bonding thing where we go to the conference and then go to my house to drink beer and play video games afterwards If I end up going, I will post on here to give my report.

I think Basset, disclosure, and anyone in the exopolitics scene is a lost cause at this point. The more I follow this the more I think Jacque Vallee provides the best theories on this stuff.

Mind control sounds unlikely to me,

Though I dont rule that idea out entirely, it seems more likely to me at least, that the mass media just like any other industry. Is populated with enough complacent idiots to allow for the current state to continue.
That's why I prefer the internet. As I like to do my own digging with regard to reality.

One of my hopes is to see an increase in people using the internet. Not just for news gathering or entertainment, but hopefully as a truely wonderful tool for education and rapid communication of information.
Trouble is Television is so powerful and all pervasive that's gonna take a while yet.

Obviously you still need to have your wits about you on the web, but I appreciate the freedom.

I think it is mind control... but of a more mundane variety. It's called laughter and derision. Once it's out there and enough patsys are made fools of, it becomes self sustaining. And then no "reputable" media outlet will take it seriously.

I call that a form of mind control.

But that's where I feel personal responsibility comes into play, when judging for oneself where the truth of any matter may be found.
Must say though, I think every effort should be made to change the prevailing
attitudes of those in the media with regard to this whole topic.

Mark -- I agree completely if we're talking about individuals. But we're not. We're talking about cultures and societies and their biases. Why does our culture have it's responses to this phenomena that it does? I'd say that goes directly back to the laughable "contactee" era and has much to do with the CIA infiltration of these groups in order to make them even more laughable.

Look at the Law of Large Numbers. If the popular media (which can be the voice of a culture) has a bias to make it laughable, it will tend over time to become even more laughable unless some force comes along to counterbalance that effect. The random variables -- in this case, individuals -- simply get washed out in the trend over time.

About the comments at the end of the show -- current society's focus on sex and the feminine I think is simply an outgrowth of the sexual revolution in the 60s. I think it's a healthy thing in general (with many exceptions) and will burn itself out. Think of the difference in mate selection of a 16 year old vs a 46 year old -- boobies make a huge difference to the former and maybe not so much to the latter. As a society we're just coming out of our teens on this issue IMHO.

I would like to hear David and Jeff's ideas about the mind control topic. David has hinted at this a few times on different shows. I have felt at times an overwhelming sense that I should not talk or write about certain things related to my experiences. Logically this does not make sense that I should feel that way because I do not have any position or "status" to protect.

As far as the media not talking about these topics, I think it is controlled by a person or groups of people vs something IMO. However if there is something controlling everyone that is another story. It gets frustrating to just keep going around in circles about this entire phenomena.

Why can't the X conference have speakers that are informed and not just trying to sell crap ideas and products??Looking at the speaker's list and other events reminds me of something that would be put on in Hollywood..fake fake and more fake. Get Bassett back on the show and give him shit WTF!!
