Flooding in my town

Free episodes:

well its been a hell of a ride over the past two days and my home town is well flooded.

Christchurch deluge a 'one-in-100-year' storm | Stuff.co.nz

My garden is wreaked thanks to 160km winds that ripped through here but hey at least my house is not under water unlike other poor souls around here.

Like I have said the weather is getting more and more extreme.

Peace all
Sorry to hear this...agreed about weather, it's changing and at times extreme. Last weekend we had a regular storm come through, but because we had drought like conditions , trees fell. One fell right on my water pipe. Lol, I have gravity fed water where you have to cross the creek and walk a half mile of pipe checking for the problem. I should be able to fix it soon but its been days without water....free hugs, hah!

Wow. Glad your home was spared the worst of it. The world just gets crazier and crazier. But look at the bright side. If Russia and the USA go at it, NZ is still a better place than most of the rest of the world to be.

I hear you... the main reason why I keep living in this little back water of a nation... its very safe.

Yeah crazy weather all round. Have you guys ever known it to be this internationally bizarre?

This happened near me the other day;

It wasn't even to do with the weather ! There's this big thing in the uk where people are up in arms over the floods because of the water companies and councils blaming them for taking the money but not preparing for eventualities like this or dredging waterways properly.

I sympathize greatly with the wrecking of the garden as I know how that is a space of comfort and joy for all who live in your home. I lost some prize ancient trees during an ice storm this winter, myself. Nature is red in tooth and claw and all that. But at least gardens can be repaired in time...We will all need to get used to extreme weather in the coming decades. Glad to hear your house was unscathed - flood damage to a home is a terrible thing.

we dont have flooding here, we build our houses on high ground, and have a new modern gizmo called drainage, weve only had drains for 300 yrs, maybe you and yer big boss's could come and see how it's done hippie.

we have had high tides this year tho.

its was all down one side of the island, high tides, strong inshore wind, and torrential rain, and the rivers backing-up at high tide, this is the worst in my memory.

Barbara, I mean Manx . Can you please stop jumping on everything I post. It's stalkerish plus it's getting boring and not very funny and irritating not to mention embarrassing.

no im a shameless twat alright, but for the record im not gay and im not a tranny, i just aint got the legs for it.

i take the piss that's all, but if you want me to stop, i will stop almost, there was no need for letting your feminine side out, and all the drama, im manx, i just think what a soft cant, when i see it, like water of a ducks back.
