This is a short read but none-the-less I think a thought provoking read. There is so much lost to history that we will never find including our own evolution.

very fascinating stuff. The complexity of our human history is really striking, as the article points out-- the 12 or so hominid species that existed in different times and areas of the planet in an evolutionary process.
Neanderthals are still my favorite. They were in many ways superior to us in physical and mental ability. Apparently they added to our modern genetic mix.
