FYI, I have been down with either one hell of a cold or the flu. Been mostly in bed this week. I don't know if I will be live tonight. Like I said .. for your information.

Don, I am curious as to if you had gotten a flu shot. In my area, there has been heavy promotion/encouragement for EVERYONE to get their flu shot. A group of nurses is coming to my apartment building and setting up a flu shot area in the lobby. I don't know if I should get one. I keep hearing scary conspiracy admonishings here and there.
I get a flu shot every yr. usually end of Oct. Have not gotten one yet this year. I don't know what you have heard but i would not go the year without that shot.

Yup, Don's totally right. If more people got the flu shot there would be less sick people. The anti-vax movement is causing so much harm, it's scary.
The flu shot isn't 100% effective, but it's better than nothing at all.

I've wondered because a couple of health proffessionals I work with get it and a couple of others say they don't ever get one. The ones who don't say it's because the virus "mutates" and by the time it's offered a new strain of flu hits. The ones that do say it will at least get the most common version. I will more than likely get the shot although I didn't get one last year. I'm one of those folks whose "sinus" issues cause me to feel like I have the flu at times so i should go ahead and get it this year.
Okay, here is the cure for whatever in hell I caught. (and brother, did it kick my ass!)
take one LARGE CUP.... fill it 3/4's of the way with DOUBLE STRENGTH BLACK TEA. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice in on top of the TEA.
Pour in a large DOLAP of Honey. (Like maybe a double table spoon.
And last but NOT LEAST ... about 5 or 6 shots of whiskey. (Just had one of those.)
Now, don't know if this cures you but after you drink it you do not give a damn. and somehow my writing here is lucid. don't know why.
Now I am going to have another one and then watch a movie.
