"problem occured after a rat got into the switchboard" good grief. They're just now putting mesh around the switchboard to keep critters from crawling in and shutting the place down? That is some scary, rookie error stuff. I saw an option when this crisis started, where they could build 4 concrete walls around the reactor, then cover it in sand.

How much of the tsunami debris could be radioactive?
Some of it has already made it's way to the west coast, but check out this chart detailing how much MORE debris is headed our way;

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT GOVERNMENT?
109 TONS of highly radioactive water has leaked, but not into the ocean?
Gosh where did it go? Maybe ground water, you can't trust that company to monitor those radiation levels.
At this point why is any private company, the same one responsible for the failure itself responsible to clean the site up?
That would be like letting BP cleaning up the gulf oil spill and not the EPA to protect our citizens, I'm glad the EPA came in for the US and...............oh wait.............were just as stupid...........
Seriously however this cumulative radioactive exposure those poor people are getting their going to be dying for generations!
