For those interested, there are two podcasts out this week featuring, to a greater or lesser degree, The Paracast's very own Gene and Chris.

Chris is interviewed by Martin Willis over at Podcast UFO here (Chris doesn't hold back with his take on the current state of ufology).

And over at Radio Misterioso Greg Bishop has just put up his interview with Allen Greenfield that is conducted in a highly discursive and entertaining manner and features anecdotes on the early days of the UFO scene. There's some great stories featuring Gray Barker, Jim Moseley and a certain Gene Steinberg...

So what does Allen say about me and the early days?

Nothing bad! Just recounts some stories when you and he were both there.

Off the top of my head, there's a story about meeting The Amazing Randi, the issue of UFO news renamed in honour of Allen and you and the New Year's you attempted to invite someone famous over to the party...

As both Greg and Allen say on the podcast, someone should really write a book on that whole period.

Does he talk about the time he and I spent all night devising a theory of alternate realities influenced by a fantasy book, "The Incomplete Enchanter"? It happened during one of our annual New Year's Eve gatherings in midtown Manhattan.

Yep! I listened to it as well but somehow he forgot the name of the Paracast . I think he called it Gene Steinberg's show. It was just recently posted on Greg's site. but recorded last October I believe.

It was because of this episode that I learned that Mr. GoRightly has a blog and some older podcasts.

Also he mentioned (what seems logical but I never considered) that it may have been Jim Mosley and Grey Barker that played the roll of Indrid Cold in those calls to John Keel.

Don't think that one is in there.

Sounds like you all had a great time; the scene certainly sounds more open, creative and fun back then than it does today.

Yep, getting drunk and crank calling John Keel; what on earth could go wrong....

All round a very enjoyable and interesting show.
