Been waiting for awhile to ask Chris this in the appropriate place.

You've made a point here and elsewhere in making a distinction between a human trickster and "trickstererish" energy...possibly becoming sentient...that encompasses our reality. If there was an energy that determined that humanity needed to go in a different direction it would seem to me this energy would need a human agent to do so. If this is/was the case is there a real need to make any distinctions between the two?

You've named Bernie Madoff... may he rot in jail...as a human trickster but if some kind of change came from his miss-doings could it not be argued that there may be something bigger at work? Even if there was a minor change at first it could lead to bigger (not necessarily better) things.

It is rumored that a carbon based member of this forum became so completely full of methane and CO2 that he/she catastrophically heated up and spontaneously combusted. Can you confirm or deny this rumor? :(
 
1. I'd like to hear some talk about the ETH as folklore. Do we really have any evidence whatsoever that the anomalous objects we see in the sky have anything at all to do with structured craft controlled by a sentient alien species from off planet? What do you trace back the ETH to - is the whole concept just a confabulation of pop culture?

2. What do you subscribe to with regards to the UFO/UAP conundrum? With so many objects to discount and consider: plasma, ball lightening, space re-entry, sky critters, ultraterrestrials, sky mandelas etc. what would you each put your money on as far as what is the majority of what is being seen?

3. Favourite case and why? Many people are not familiar with the full breadth of cases in the canon - some like Donald Shrum's case are simply cartoonish while others like Kelly-Hoppkinsville are devastatingly fearful.

4. Who subscribes to Rutkowski's tongue in cheek AINT (Alien INcompetence Theory)?

You'll remember it, Burnt, since you opened the thread. That thread wasn't specifically concerned with the desire to define the ETH as 'folklore', but it contains the best writing I've seen in this forum in support of the ETH for a percentage of ufos.
 
That's one of those threads that open up great ideas - good reading for all interested in trying to apply science to the UFO event - not sure about that 5% or any actual support for the ETH though, but I commented back on that thread.

As a round table question perhaps talking about the origins of the ETH, its core proponents and what its limitations are, why people believe or disbelieve, might generate some progressive discussion for the start of the show.

Well, I'm having a hard time trying to think of questions that wouldn't either seem silly or potentially hurtful in the light of recent events. But of course sounding silly has never kept me from asking anyway and on the other hand I can't pretend that nothing happened, so here are some things that are keeping me awake at night.

The recent germanwings crash, where a guy from my hometown decided to kill 150 people along with himself has catapulted me back into the near nihilistic state of mind after the 9/11 attacks. It just seems so senseless. Why could nothing prevent this from happening? Especially if we're supposed to believe that there are forces at work in the universe which we don't understand yet. To put it bluntly, why didn't a fricking UFO turn up and keep that madman from pushing the button? How can a senseless act like that happen in a meaningful universe?

Following the account by Linda Godfrey about the ball of light she saw, while another witness was seeing a full-blown apparition, I've again been wondering about the unwillingness of most UFO researchers to consider BOLs a part of the phenomenon. There is a german researcher by the name of Gerhard Groeschel (very technical and down-to-earth guy) who has set up cameras at several "UFO hot spots" and recorded nothing at all in the way of nuts & bolts, but quite a few BOLs zipping by or hovering around. And he always checks for misinterpretation of headlights, aircraft etc. Instead of following his research, other Ufologists are dismissing him wholesale, of course, saying it's either natural phenomena like plasma balls or "just some indiscernable light". Well, how about trying to get a really good look at them instead of just shrugging them off?
 
And of course you are speaking as an authority, because you invented / co-developped this cloaking technology? Didn't you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement? And why are they testing it in the basement of an old house?

Would you care to give us evidence that Linda Moulton Howe is a government shill and that she is Robert Bigelow's girlfriend? Not speculation on your part but real proof.

Actually Paramore is spelled paramour and bigelo is spelled Bigelow. I much prefer you give us your proof rather than some bogus website spouting rumors.
 
If you can't spell it you can't possibly know what the word means. Secondly, you can call me a troll but you haven't answered my question. Provide everyone with this proof about Moulton-Howe being a government shill and Bigelow and Moulton-Howe are paramours. All we require are real facts from you.

In only 16 posts, you claimed to have educated Hawking on black hole physics- created a ufo engine (once fed ex delivers that part) in your basement- and captured Howe and Bigge in co hoots.

I think robomont may be on to something with some of his stuff. his thoughts on egyptian electricity is very interesting.
