Here's a site with two seasons of the Carlin show from back in the 90s I found. They run commercials during it though, and sometimes you'll need to back up the vid to see what they went over. Hopefully that will make sense once you watch an episode or two.

The connotation of this comment appears to be negative yet I can't find anything wrong with any of those personality traits or conditions. Also you left out "genius".

George Carlin was not bitter but often in pain. He had back problems that caused him great discomfort.
I knew someone who used to drive him around to gigs when he was in my area.
