ghost hunters killed!

Free episodes:

Wow! Shit I'm pretty depressed to read this. I quite liked Mark and Debbie, I've been a fan of Ghost Adventures for a few years now. I didn't know the couple had split up and it doesn't sound at all good that Mark was shooting at the police. Total speculation on my part but I wonder if investigating the paranormal so much could have a negative effect on someone's mental stability.
I wonder how Ghost Adventures will mentions this.

Cheers Bob.

... it doesn't sound at all good that Mark was shooting at the police. Total speculation on my part but I wonder if investigating the paranormal so much could have a negative effect on someone's mental stability...

No, that really doesn't sound good, at all, does it? Are you speculating, or are you showing a lack of assumption? I think they are both okay. They call themselves Ghost Hunters, but is it always 'Ghosts', 'spirits' of dead humans, they are 'interacting' with? Everyone seems to ASSUME that is the case, and that there does not exist more nefarious and malevolent non-human type 'spirits'.

Perhaps your speculation is more on target than most would think. It seems ufology doesn't lend much credence to your speculation, or doesn't lend credence to the notion of possession by Dæmons.

I can just hear it now how all the religious nutbars on C2C will come out and say that it's because they were ghost hunting they attracted dark Satanic powers and were possessed.

I'm going to post a YT of a C2C show with Adam Blai, but I don't think myself a religious nutbar. Adam Blai is religious, a Catholic. He also has a Masters in Clinical Psychology and assists Priests with Exorcisms. This video was posted in 2014, and at 12:45 he mentions that some Paranormal Hunters (he includes TV shows) have already dealt with 'issues' from their 'adventures'. I can think, off of the top of my head, of two or three other videos with Catholic Priests who are Exorcists saying the same thing - Ghost Hunters have a more dangerous hobby than they think ...

Before I go further, let me tell you a bit about where I sit, before I tell you where I stand.

I spent the majority of my time in Catholic Schools, and was raised Catholic. I stopped going to Church at about 18 (I'm 43), and have spent the majority of that time since as purely Agnostic. Over the course of time, I became less Agnostic and more decided that there is, indeed, something. A 'higher power' not of the material world. From my observations in life, I also believe in the concepts of Good and Evil, and believe (think most likely true for as much as I can 'believe' such things) there to be a 'struggle' involved. That struggle is over/has something to do with us and our 'energies', our Souls.

While not Catholic, nor a Jesus worshipper, I do, however, give the Catholic Church credit on the subject of Demonic Possession. With good reason, for they, as an institution, have centuries of experience in'dealing' with such. Hundreds of years of Exorcisms and interactions with Demons. The Vatican has enormous institutional continuity and memory for things of this nature.

Hell, the Vatican is The Original Gangsta. Oops, I mean The Original Paranormal Investigation Organization. Have any of you thought about how many investigations, over the course of centuries, into the paranormal the Vatican has been involved with? From 'miracles', to hauntings, to exorcisms, to others.

There were a couple posts in the Ghosts forum about a case of possession in Gary, Indiana. One of the kids walked/slid up a wall at a hospital in front of professionals/non-family members. After that, the Methodist Chaplin at that hospital called the Catholic Chaplin and asked him to get involved with an exorcism. Interesting, eh? That a Methodist Minister called a Catholic Priest about a Baptist family when he came up against such. That Minster acknowledges the Vatican's experience in this realm, as do I.

Here is the Priest that became involved with that case. Yea, the host is obviously hosting a religious show, it starts with a prayer, etc., but there is Paranormal Info in here, so, suffer through it, lol. The second guest has a tie to Adam Blai, as Adam was involved in his deal, which was a demonic possession of a house - what MOST would call a Haunting, a house with a Ghost. Adam was scratched by an entity at that particular house.

You have reports of levitation, unbelievable strength, complete mastery of languages without ever learning them, objects being moved/thrown, actual PHYSICAL interactions with people and places, etc., in the Catholic Exorcism Files, and those reports are usually made by very intelligent people considered completely sane.

Here is a Jesuit talking a bit about the case that the book/movie The Exorcist was based upon, except the real case was a little boy, not girl, and his head never spun around, lol. I think this guy is bullshitting a bit at times about what he is letting out. Before you call this guy a nutbar, ufology, know that he has FOUR PhDs. Four of them. He is a very, very intelligent man, as are allJesuits, and multiple PhDs are not surprising in a Jesuit, the chief Astronomers and Dæmonologists of the Vatican.

Note the alchemical symbol for Saturn you are being flashed in the beginning of the video. Keep yer eyes peeled for Saturn worship in your travels - it's everywhere ...

Here is the Exorcist who the recent movie The Rite was based upon:

According to these types of folks, such 'infestations' are on the rise ...

Though I post this stuff and place value upon the thoughts of those religious 'nutbars' and place import upon the Bible and the story it tells as that relates to our History, the success of exorcisms does not prove the divinity, Immaculate Conception, etc., of some dude named Jesus, nor does it prove Jesus a good or bad dude, so it's okay and it won't make you a religious nutbar if you put credit in these dudes experiences, lol ...

This thread sparked my memory about the Sallie House case. I'm in front of my computer 14+ hours most days, often more than that. I usually have a video/radio interview going in another tab, and I remembered about this old show called Sightings and this house. I subsequently listened to an interview with them and watched the episode on Ghost Adventures about the Sallie House.

The dude who lived there and kept getting scratched talked about killing his wife. That the entity that was there was guiding him towards those thoughts. He mentions it in both this following radio interview and this Ghost Adventures episode. That sounds pretty damn 'evil' to me. An entity encouraging a guy to murder his wife. Further, that ain't very Tricksterish. It is far more unnecessarily malign than Trickster stuff.

Ghost Adventures S10E06 Sallie House - Video Dailymotion

Maybe this is all a coincidence and the dude that killed his wife/ex-wife just went nuts. I don't say that sarcastically, as it may be the case. But, as far as the original thought I addressed by GM, I would say it is a very likely thing that occurs to people - that there most definitely is a potential for investigating the paranormal so much could have a negative effect on someone's mental stability. And that should be a question asked and discussed in cases like this, IMO ...
