I am rolling! :D
Was this the one that was on last night? I haven't watched the new episode yet.

I agree with parts of the spoof, especially the bits where they're going, "What was that? Did you hear that? But I don't think the jokes about them being scared were accurate. I've watched the show a bit and Jason and Grant are pretty stone faced most of the time. Some of the other members of the crew freak out from time to time but it really doesn't happen with the two guys leading the group. That criticism just wasn't accurate at all.

To me the whole lights out policy is the silliest aspect of the show. Exactly why can't ghost hunting be carried out during the afternoon?

Edit: I want to elaborate on my lights out beef a bit. I understand why they turn off the electricity. It makes sense that they don't want it effecting their EMF detectors. But why must they always prance around with flashlights in pitch darkness? Doing that invites people feeling creeped out and thinking they see things that aren't actually there. Why can't they ever investigate during the daytime with sunlight bleeding into the rooms or set up oil burning lamps or candles so that they can see? It seems to me that the darkness and flashlights policy is done almost entirely for the audience and has very little to do with an investigative technique.

But having said that I believe it is better than other ghost shows on television. Some of the ones on the Travel channel in particular are quite dreadful.

lol @ "it's the gayest show in the fucking world, Ghost Hunters"

That aside, I like the show, at least compared to the other shows out there. We all need to understand that the show needs to be entertaining to the masses in order to succeed, so we might as well get over the hokey effects they use b/c every other show is gonna have to pull the same shit in order to be even moderately successful.

They do tend to where at least some sort of a critical thinking hat, they at least try to look at things with skepticism and I appreciate that they try to recreate some of the experiences.

My girlfriend and I watch the show quite often, it's about the only paranormal thing she likes (at least until kimballs show comes out, booyah!). She likes the show because Jay and Grant aren't afraid. Period. They will go in a hole by themselves and hang out for half an hour. I've never seen the two of them even jump. She gets pissed off at my because I make lewd comments about Kris Williams. So I get some bonus entertainment out of it as well.

Debunkers feasts on Ghosts Hunters and Paranormal State, that kind of shows vulgarize the interesting theme of life after death. At least in my humble opinion.

I literally pissed my pants when I watched this episode. The funniest thing I've seen in a while. BTW, it's available on hulu.com if anybody wants to watch the entire thing.
