glyphs--what are they?

Glyphs, pictograms, strange symbols or whatever....Does anyone have an opinion about what they are and why they seem a recurrent part of ufo lore? A few ideas:

-Identification placed on craft and parts of craft for the benefit of numerous species more advanced than ourselves. A sort of intergalactic VIN or license plate number.

-A message meant to challenge decoding skills of the "locals" like ourselves

-Forms that are somehow intrinsic to the functional operation of the craft in ways we cannot begin to fathom. I.E. a technology so advanced so as to appear magic.

-More trickster dis-info meant to keep us confused and involved--all part of the show.

Human beings put identifying symbols on our aircraft to tell them apart and track their movements. I imagine that is what they are all about one way or another. Either the others are doing the same or human beings are projecting this human practice on the phenomena during the interpretive process.

Clifts? Well, let me tell you that I am very concerned with Clifts. I had a friend whose name was Clift and he was the most wonderful person. So, for you to say What are "they?" Why Clift wans't a they he was a....Oh! Glyphs? You said Glyphs? Nevermind!

For all you really young folks that is in memory of Gilda Radner. For you old seventies Saturday Night Live fans I'm sure you get the joke.

About eight years ago, I had a large collection of Mayan glyph images on my computer. I lost them when my computer fried in an electrical storm. I could have restored them onanother computer. I was only interested in a particular frame that held the glyphs.

Over 600 years ago a Mayan glyph ‘recorded’ a UFO.

Over 1000 years ago, an Aztec calender had a similar frame.

Were they related? I think they are The Aztec calendar reveals something that hasn’t been brought up, until now. I will shortly make this relationship visible with crop circles.
