How can anyone in this day and age believe such B.S. and i am talking about all religions. Everone is so willinging to except conspiracies about aliens and secret societies but will ask for more proof about GOD. If one exists why can't others? I hate God And everything he stands for but i am not a satanist. i do not believe that our lives are predetermined(FATE), and if GOD exists then why should we worship a being that is so self evolved (Create a species to worship him}. I say down with religion and everything it stands for, we are creatures who are capable of deciding our own future( bad or good). To blame the devil for our misgivings is to say that we are saying God also decides whether or not we do good. F them both and move on. Besides i can do a better job than either p**sies. Jesus was my B*tch and bend him over every nite while lucifer licked my B**ls....LOL

oh my.. for an open mind you sure are closed minded.

you have maintained the labels/names for god and jesus and even describe what you would like to do with them, this tells me you do still recognize them as entities therefore you must believe in them.

i believe there may be a Creator. i do not believe in traditional religion as taught in the bible, koran or whatever. the intentions of the underlying tone of the bible (Golden Rule) are good. it appears we became religious about the time we became agricultural. my guess is we needed a reason for crop failures, tornados, floods, etc because we didnt know any better.

Wait, you hate something that you *don't* believe in? Surely a waste of energy.

Mark your calendar . . . I agree with RD on this one.

How do you hate a BS entity?

Or maybe a better question is . . . what is the purpose of writing a profanity laden rant about a 'god' you claim not to believe unless you're trolling?

We're all familiar with that quote about being so open minded your brains fell out... I think we may just have a living, breathing example on our hands...

Personally, I do not believe in any god or gods, and so I do not dislike any. What I DO dislike is the harm and misery done in the name of a god, and the attitude some believers have towards those of us who do not share their delusion, I mean, belief.
Maybe that is more along the lines of what the OP really means? Or not. Just a guess.
I also am uncomfortable and saddened by the idea that some people are happy living with a belief that they do not need to have any self-accountability, and that they may miss out on the opportunity to have the best possible experience of life here and now because they are waiting for some imagined reward after they die. I find that an extremely creepy superstition.
I read a quote somewhere that said something like - Mankind will never be free until the last king is strangled to death with the entrails of the last priest. Great quote, but one believers will likely hate!

Obviously you didn't read "the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy". The pure fact that we can't prove God exists means that he exists. However the moment we do prove it then he will cease to exist. For God to exist he requires faith and if we prove he exists then we no longer have faith so God dies because he no longer has faith to sustain him. Of course then man goes on to prove all sorts of crazy equations and what not and eventually kills himself, i forget how.

update: sorry didn't realize how old this thread was, i don't mean to go bringing up old topics.

..It's age old, don't worry about it.

..I think if there was anything legitimate in the original post, it's founded in a lack of comprehension of the difference between spirituality/belief in God, and Religion.

..Religion is just another form of government. Trying to understand God or grow your Spirit through Religion is like becoming a Luddite by working in a factory that prints their placards in mass quantity. Sure it's possible, but you have a better chance of swimming with your hands tied behind your back.

I find that people often are ranting against the beliefs in their own mind. This has little to nothing to do with any "objective" reality to a God. I believe in a SOURCE for everything, but I doubt it takes a hand in micromanaging local storm fronts and tornados in the midwest! One person whose house was saved (while all other houses on her block were destroyed) said "I thank the good Lord." Well, that's fine, but seems to show little sensitivity or kindness for her neighbors, whose homes were destroyed. Perhaps a more proper response is to keep thy mouth shut about thanking the Lord, and instead get down and help those neighbors dig through the rubble!

At its best, religion teaches people to love and help their fellow human being, to see a spark of the divine in each person they meet, rather than just seeing a hunk of meat with a chattering mind that can be used to ones own selfish benefit.

I agree with others that the author of this thread has not liberated himself from his early belief systems, if he has the need to hate them and express lewd intentions upon his personal religious icons (e.g., Jesus). I would suggest that this person step back, truly release his old beliefs and move on. He may find that eventually he comes back to a mystical understanding of God and the universe that is far beyond his original beliefs, but is compassionate enough to understand where those beliefs came from, and how they may be necessary to people on that level of consciousness.

everyone should just watch the boondock saints.

"Now you will recieve us! We do not ask for your poor or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim! It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood, 'till it rains down from the skies! Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace! These are not polite suggestions. These are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost! There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth, not to push the bounds and cross over, into true corruption, into our domain. For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three and on that day YOU WILL REAP IT! And will send you to whatever god you wish."
