microscopic dust particles of unknown origin? Sounds like a B rated sci if movie. Seems sketchy, the article says they were highly charged? Sounds like they need a multi million dollar super swifter.

Come on, definitely - not. LHC is up to date our best attempt to make a leap in physics and figure out what is this 76% of the stuff that we call Universe.
