I installed Google Earth.

There are options for the stars and Sky. Now, if you leave the Astrogation markers turned on, and view Google Earth, you find that a lot of hotspots seems to correlate to some of these Stars and Solar Systems that are shown to be on the other side of the Earth.

Could Douglas Adams have been correct in the joke that the Earth is in the way of the Intergalactic Travelway?

Something I happened to notice today.

I'm not sure if the markers are the stars on the other side of the planet, or where they are in relation to our planet, but I can tell you that what I found most interesting, is that if you have it set for what time it is, the Sun, and Celestial Objects okayed, you get some interesting correlations with Hotspots, and Constellations and such.

It's as if Earth is a pitstop between solar systems or star systems.

Just check it out. It really makes things interesting. I just wish they'd hurry up and do Google Moon.

Google Earf, looks at stars now?

Once I couldn't find my ex-girlfriend on it, which I was stalking, I gave the google thing up. Sorry.

No, no, no, I'm ok. She found me on Facebook. We're ok.... for now.

Sorry folks if this is old news, but you might want to check out the latest version of Google earth as it now has a facility to look at Mars via the view control.

Should have added then go to explore.

Dont know long it's been available, but you can now view the lunar landing sites through google moon view. Click view then explore, and yes the flight sim works.
