Originally from the Chicago area. Now living in Arizona.

I’ve had an interest in UFOs as far back as I can remember. (I recall doing an exhibit on UFOs at a grade school science fair.) My more intense interest started at about 14 when I came across a copy of Jacques Vallee’s “Anatomy of a Phenomenon” in my dad’s library.

I continue to find it a fascinating puzzle.
 
Welcome. Keep in mind that a lot of people in ufology claim to know what UFOs are and their purpose. Beware such people! No one really knows. Everyone has their own pet theory that they peddle at UFO conferences and in books. So sample all the various theories but stay open because UFO's may be something that no one has yet discovered!

To add a little more perspective, the grade school science fair I referred to was shortly after the Dexter, Michigan “swamp gas” events in 1966. I’m another one of the boomer generation who got snared by the UFO thing.

I was a boy when CBS news did a special that focused on the Michigan "swamp gas" UFOs. This also hooked me for life. We must be around the same age.
