Sure, let's make it a roundtable w/ Penn Jillette, Michael Shermer, Robert Sheaffer and the ghost of Phil Klass channeled by Randi (the randy one) We can kick around a few of the subjects dearest and closest to their cold hearts, belief in the paranormal, belief in NO evidence of the paranormal and (of course) UFOs.... :)

Randi is a premier debunker. I I listen to the Paracast to find out about the paranormal, not to find out that there is nothing to it.
 
Still, a wonderful idea. He's got a dry sense of humor, I think Gene would have a good time. And I'd have a question for him. How can a person get that old without ever experiencing anyhing that makes him wonder.
 
While working as News Director for a radio station long, long ago, I did interview Randi about serious stuff; his interest in astronomy. But that was decades ago. Don't know whether I would want to do it now. Is he even in good health these days?

While you may or may not intend your statement to be taken seriously, if some (or all) of the paranormal can explained rationally, that's progress surely? We don't want to believe stuff that isn't true (what - like religion, politics, commercials?)... do we?

If we continued to believe the world was flat, Columbus wouldn't have ventured across the ocean for fear of falling off the edge, and we wouldn't now have... er... McDonalds!

If you could keep him engaged and talking, I think Randi would give good value all round. But not really sure how you could stretch out his saying "this is all baloney" for two hours.
