The man responsible for many of our nightmares has passed away

I wonder what his fellow countryman , Carl Jung would have had to say about him.

Like many people, I first became aware of H.R. Giger from the Emerson, Lake and Palmer album cover Brain Salad Surgery. I can imagine he caused more than a few nightmares.

He was unique, a one off.
His images were confronting, but it was this very aspect that made his art stand out.
Our culture will draw from this for along time to come.

I had access to a medical library years ago, i saw things in jars..... Geiger brought this reality to us in ways that softened a very real aspect of biological existance.

Having seen this side of biological reality first hand, i can appreciate that what seems to most as a confronting set of images via Gieger, is in fact a softer view of the truth
