Hair colour

For those who are comfortable indulging me by divulging the data.......

what is your natural Hair colour ?

That depends on when you're asking. This is going to sound really weird but I have had almost every hair colour. When I was born I had thin, dark hairs which all fell out shortly thereafter. What grew in afterwards were curly, brassy, almost redhead hairs which as I grew became longer and paler so that by age three I had wavy, bleach blonde hair. Over time that has continued to darken through various shades of blonde and is now a mousey sort of brown/blonde. In the past five years or so I've begun to notice grey hairs as well, only they aren't like hairs... they're more like fiber optic cable, thick, white and slightly transparent. If I pull one out, three more grow in it's place so now I tend to leave them alone.

Does that answer your question?

I was born with back hair and by the time I was around three it was blond. Most of my life since my hair has been different shades of dark brown. Why do you want this data?

To be honest with you, I'm looking for the redheads....
i am interested how many there are here, and what proportion of the forum they encompass

just data, nothing nefarious

Well if that's all it is, just data.

Then, how many of you are blond haired, blue eyed, and non-Jewish?

just data, nothing nefarious ::)

Olive.

My natural hair color is olive.

I have a olive drab pullover that I wear and my goatee, eyes and eyebrows all match.

When I grow my hair out, it's the same goofy olive color, although there's some gray at the temples.

You've got one here - I've been told my hair is titian or copper-gold. Got a couple of white ones creeping in now, too. Why the interest in redheads?

Blonde with a reddish hue. My beard is more red than my scalp-hair. My complexion is quite ruddy also. I've noticed that there seems to be a lot reddish haired people involved in this. Native Americans, too.

Brown, but I'm married to a redhead, now my hair is turning grey and falling out

to those who have answered sincere thanks,
im not making a list for the camps though, its just that red hair is a rare type according to the docs

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_hair

Origins

Red hair is the rarest natural hair colour in humans. The pale skin associated with red hair may be of advantage in far-northern climates where sunlight is scarce. Studies by Bodmer and Cavalli-Sforza (1976) hypothesized that lighter skin pigmentation prevents rickets in colder latitudes by encouraging higher levels of Vitamin D

i was interested to see if the percentage of red heads in this forum's population matched the average, or not......

1 to 2 percent of the population is the norm

i have light red hair
