Harrison Ford injured in air crash

Free episodes:

Right, i was just going to post a disclaimer but the real time news on a local radio station kept saying critically injured. Here's hoping it's wrong.

Sounds like his injuries are not that bad, but there are possible head injuries due to impacts with the canopy framing, and possible spinal injuries from the shock of hitting the ground so hard. He either hit and obstacle or stalled to high from the ground and collapsed his gear (hence a possible back injury). Take off and Departure are the most critical in a planes entire flight, and I am assuming he had lost engine authority (power) and just had to land in the flattest area in the direction he was flying. That's why golf courses are near airports, lol. Climbing attitude, loss of power, and low relative airspeed always mean your going to kiss dirt.

Considering the condition of the plane, it looks like he did a real good job with a bad situation.

Those of us that live in West la are familiar with this type of event, there is a lot of incidents at this airport but that's because over the years the type of craft have increased steadily from small planes to jets because of a number of high profile entertainment types that live here and the airport was never intended to handle those. However that aspect doesn't appear to be the issue here.

Edited thread title to show the updated info.
