If there are any aliens interested in discovering which ways we are capable of behaving it seems that some of their testing could be responsible for many people's strange experiences. Although this is not a new idea, I think that it is an idea well worth a lot of attention.
This is from a different thread: "My question is..if they're so advanced why are they doing any physical tests on the level of a highschool biology class?" The (supposed) aliens seem to have limits as to how they treat people and, perhaps, those limits are something that many of us would object to.
The reason why they test people the way they do is, possibly, because their types of tests are well-suited to finding out things while remaining, in an overall way, at a certain distance from us as a culture.
It is worth remembering, here, that there could be aliens visiting with different views and different laws. Perhaps particular species are prone to particular types of 'faults' which could explain why the severity of some of the tests seems very harsh(or worse). Otherwise, the implication is that they are extremely detached from what they do to test people.
From another thread: "They probably don't give a damn what you & I want."....One way to argue against this is to suggest any persistently successful alien society may have had to develop a much more pleasant and environmentally sensible approach to life in order to gain the success they have. Would they have made it that far if they persisted with an unsustainable society? How would the transformation into a sustainable society affect their attitudes and beliefs?
Would they really end up as a society that didn't care whatsoever? I find it difficult to see how a society that depended on caring about things for its survival would end up not caring. But still there may be cultural differences(extremes) between societies.
I'm interested to know what anybody else thinks about my suggestions. If you get the urge to criticize them harshly then so be it!:
