This is a simple YES or NO poll.

I am looking for yes or no answers here rather then debate over the topic in the particular poll and hoping people wil answer HONESTLY.

I am rather sick of seeing people either support or attack ideas/theories about 9/11 without having a basic understanding of what the hell they are supporting or speaking against.

So this is not a thread to debate about fake planes, controlled demolitions, or anything like that. I am not looking for a political debate, but an honest survey from those who frequent the forums that has any view on this topic, one way or another.

If you are among those who takes a "side" or has some strong view on this and have not read this, then you are not informed abotu what you are speaking out against or debating.

So who has read it?

I've read some of it, mostly the Pentagon stuff therefore didn't vote. If I say yes, some people will jump to the conclusion that I read all. If I say no, they might conclude I haven't read any of it. Mind if I add that option?

I just read a lovely little short story by Stephen King. Basically a guy who worked in insurance on the 112th floor of one of the Towers called in sick on the day and was one of 2 survivors from is company. Fast forward a year later and he comes home one day to find 5 or 6 random items in his apartment freaked him the fuck out.

Turns out these items were from various work mates of his. A pair of novelty glasses, a whoopie cushion, baseball bat (stuff like that). After freaking out for a while he calms down and decides to ignore them. But that doesnt last long as he starts dreaming about his lost friends.

Long story short, he tries to get rid of them and returns to find them back in his apartment. Then one day it hits him.

The story ends with his giving one of the items back to the loved one of the items owner.

Anyway just thought Id share that. When it struck me that he was writing a story about 911, to be honest I was a little concerned. I mean this is Stephen King. A story about hauntings or anything else really seems a little insensitive... so I was happy to see how this story turned out.

Stephen King is an Atheist! I before E? Nevermind. I hate him. He had Madchen Amick in a crappy movie, and I sat through that whole thing (3 times, I was desperate and thought that I might appear in a universe in which she appeared naked etc.) and she was never naked. ANYONE who has her in a movie, and does not have her naked is of the DEVIL. NO, worse, DR> LAURA! I would marry her toe fuzz, and I don't believe in marriage.. Um, Madchen, not "Dr" Laura.

Thank you for the votes and replies. I am trying to get a baseline here on something I feel is critical to a topic that many of us feel is important and effects our lives still to this day.

nope, how many pages? have you read the entire report? without skipping ANYTHING?
could you give us a reader's digest version? please?

567 pages, I think. Read it 3x. Have one coppy that is highlighted with areas of concern and a second copy that is clean of any notes/highlighters so if anyone would like to read it who knows me can.

Review? 19 Arabs with boxcutters, ran by the direction of guys in caves, were able to get around the most advanced air force in the world. Followed up by blah blah blah.......

Cotton, perhaps you will tell us where to stand in line to slob Paul Kimball's cock and balls?

I can see how reading the report would be necessary if one is publishing books and articles about the 9/11 conspiracy. But voicing concerns? I don't need to look at shit with a microscope to smell its stink.

No. When faced with the decision, I deemed it a waste of time, just like The Warren Report... why bother when you know it's bullshit, is my line of thankin. It's like, I saw my govner's plan fer dealin with the GA state $ shortage, and how he wanted to keep from messin with Medicare, and I didn't care to read all the complicated crap when I know that anythang short of free health care ala the shit I seen in Michale Moore's Sicko lettin me know that if them punks could do it we, "The Greatest Nation On Earth In The Histry Of All Man Kind Ordained By Gawd Himself" should be able to... and BETTER. So why waste time thankin out how I feel about a 1.6 percent tax on hospitals and doc profits when I say just chop it on off at the root and move on? We will NEVER know EXACTLY what happened, cause it all happened behind closed doors and tent flap walls.

:)

I made this thread to try to get a prespective on this issue and act as a counter balance to the train-wreck of the other thread that was locked, thankfully.

This topic will NOT go away, regardless if we try to ignore it or marganalize it. It's important that people talk about this in both a rational and well-read way, rather then turing it into some big joke. It's not funny and I am not laughing.

No doubt I got "snippy" in that other thread as this is a topic that is personal to me. I would say similar to someone having a "paranormal" experence, when you encounter something on a personal level it has a different meaning to you.

For me, that is the friendship I have with many of the first reponders who where there that day. I have donated my time, money, and reputation to help these brave men and women. When I met people who I could later confirm are whom they say they are and here what they have to say I take deep personal offense to people calling them by proxy, "kooks" or some other term. You are DAMN RIGHT it pisses me off! When you shake the hand of and look into the eyes of someone who risked it all and lived to tell about it and they share with you their live that they lived though, and have heard it from several different people, in several different areas that day (NYPD, NYFD, EMTs, military, ect.) and these HEROS share things that others mock, it makes my blood boil.

So if this thread turns into any further debate I really hope it becomes more about DEBATE rather then childish name-calling. Topics about controlled demos, missiles at the Pentagon, "fake planes" or any of that stuff should be left out. First, people need to READ the report that they are defending or speaking out against. There is more then enough information about this topic to be talked about that does not involve air plane crashes or about physics at all.

I just hope people can treat the topic with respect and maybe treat each other with respect at the same time.

while "See Spot Run" is a very fine book. "The Pet Goat" is far more intriguing.

i thank cottonzway for returning this thread back to some resemblance of sanity.

I made this thread to try to get a prespective on this issue and act as a counter balance to the train-wreck of the other thread that was locked, thankfully.

The other thread was not a train wreck. The other thread demonstrated that the devestation at the WTC was not caused by controlled demolition. When you and Pixelsmith saw that you were not going to convince anyone otherwise, you attempted to derail the thread by going off-topic and trying to use the events that happened outside the state to validate your viewpoint. When that failed, we were treated to Pixelsmith's ninja claims and a bunch of namecalling (always the sign of a true intellectual, BTW). For that, I commend David for locking down the thread before it spiralled into new depths of douchebaggery.

It's important that people talk about this in both a rational and well-read way, rather then turing it into some big joke. It's not funny and I am not laughing.

It was obvious that claiming thermite brought down the WTC is not only uninformed, it is nonsensical. Neither you nor Pixelsmith have the faintest clue about thermite's chemical composition or use, but that did not stop you from perpetrating this fable that it was used as an explosive. When Status4 pointed out to Pixelsmith that "thermite residue" is also known as "rust" by the general public, you both refused to acknowledge that you were wrong, and resulted to further namecalling. That to me is not "talking about this in a rational, well-read way" at all.

No doubt I got "snippy" in that other thread as this is a topic that is personal to me. I would say similar to someone having a "paranormal" experence, when you encounter something on a personal level it has a different meaning to you.

Not at all. The previous thread was the equivalent to insisting to have seen a UFO land despite the police, meteorologists, scientists and other civilian witnesses proving you it was a meteorite by showing you the crater where it hit the ground along with fragments of the rock itself.

Personally, I am done with this topic altogether. I am not claiming to have all the answers of what happened that day, but I have no interest in discussing it with people who refuse to debate it with a rational mind.

I am glad you are done with it because it is quite obvious that you are an arrogant, smug, know-it-all who STILL kept bringing up WTC demo claims who couldn't read that this topic had nothing to do with that.

I bet you are among those who never read the report and yet you claim I am not "rational" when I have and all you have is your arguments about a point that I clearly was not talking about.

Namecalling: Always the sign of a true intellectual.
