Yep, VA health care is pretty much shit. You're much better off going to a private doc. But not all VA hospitals are bad, I've heard there were some good ones too. The hardest part is that a lot of servicemen can't even get any healthcare assistance that they were promised before enlisting and they literally have to fight for it. What a shame. I can't imagine coming back from Iraq with no limbs or other healthcare problems and not even be able to go see a doctor because of some stupid government bureaucracy.

As far as putting money into the military...well, it's a necessary evil. There is a lot of bad folks out there who want to kill you and we need the best of the military to protect us. You may not agree with the wars being waged right now, but any sovergn nation needs to have a strong military in order to protect itself and it's interests. I just wish our soldiers were treated better.
