Honey Island swamp monster

I live about fifty miles from the honey island swamp in Louisiana. And I'm ashamed I do t know to much about it because I'm a Bigfoot enthusiast. The only reports found in the local news papers and tv are tongue and cheek at best.I do know that the creature has only three toes which basicly pushes aside a Bigfoot. Does anyone have any ideas of what the Swamp Monster might be?

in my opinion it is the same thing as bigfoot, a figment of someone's imagination.

There's a documentary about the Swamp Monster by Dana Holyfield. I saw it a couple of years ago, but I don't remember what (if any) conclusion it came to. It's worth watching if you're really curious. We got the DVD at the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy annual convention a couple of years ago, but I just found it online again with a quick Google search:

If memory serves, the documentary does have some old home movie footage supposedly of the monster, and they captured some weird sounds while filming in the swamp -- but I don't know enough about local fauna to draw any conclusions about that.

I have an old-school "Mulder" attitude about the Swamp Monster, and about Bigfoot in general: I want to believe...but the evidence is contradictory at best. (The dermal ridge evidence on Bigfoot is interesting, though.)

BTW, the TBRC conference is a lot of fun if you're interested in ape-type cryptids. Some of the speakers they bring in are fascinating. And some that I've seen...have been completely nuts.

Isn't that how it always is in the paranormal field, though?

Thanks,
AJ
