How do I change my display name?

I want to change my display name to "Bill Nye the Science Dweeb", complete with an unflattering photo of Nye as my avatar. Is this possible?

The reason why I'm meddling here is that I've been thinking about that too. It's kind of hard asking serious questions with my kind of nickname. I'll get back to you when I've come up with something.

Dear Polterwurst, please don't change your name, it is a work of art!

every time I read it, it makes me smile, what does it actually mean?
I have often thought of definitions for it, like for example:


Polterwurst:
(1) a Sausage made from poltergeists
(2) a Sausage that can talk, levatate and throw objects around
(3) a Sausage made by a "ghostly" butcher
(4) a Sausage eaten for lunch by an exorcist
(5) a Garlic and "magic" herb Sausage eaten to ward off evil spirits etc

I have just found the origninal meaning in an ancient manuscript*, basically a polterwurst is the name given to the 13th sausage made by a butcher, it was offered to the "poltergeist" on a special plate, so that it was happy and would not trouble the villagers, there is a legened about a dog who stole and ate one of these, resulting in the dog turning to stone.
