How Rude!!

Disco still sucks.
I don't care what side of the Health Care issue you are on, whether you are blue, red, or purple. This is just rude as hell and I would be soooo pissed if I were the person asking the question. This is just bad.

good thing i wasn't the one speaking to her. she would have looked real funny with that cell phone sticking out of her ass.

It's almost refreshing to see rude behavior from behind the pedestal as opposed to the slew of jackasses that have been shouting and making scenes at these meetings for the past weeks.

Though to be truthful, whether you agree or disagree with the issue at hand, ignoring someone that took the time out of their day to come to the meeting and present their concerns is damn rude and ignorant, but hey, that's politics, right?

I think its iconic of politics reaching its purest form, when our society gets to the point where your representative will take the trouble to get to a meeting for the sole purpose of actively insulting the people's intelligence.

While i dont condone aggressive behaviour, I think if these representatives continue in such a manner, a few murmurs of discontent will be the least of their worries...

I live in Houston and we know Sheila Jackson Lee. Some of you others may know her from the Michael Jackson funeral/carnival of egos, or from the Hurricane Ike press conferences. I think she's all about herself.

Having said that, are we absolutely sure she was the only politician up there at the podium? Was the question actually addressed to her and not someone else? If the answer to these is "yes" then she's a bigger bitch than I thought. Granted, the audience member was asking silly questions, but a politician has the responsibility at least to appear respectful, and professional.

I think the people saying "can you believe this?" and whatnot going on in the background can assure us that she was in fact being a rude elitist bitch.
