The more I learn about the system of capitalism we live in, the more I wish I could unlearn. Somebody pass me a Blue Pill and a stiff drink.

So I can't seem to find any substantiation that the IMF can buy gold for $42/ounce, in a cursory Internet search. Any links to support that claim? Skunky?

Here's an article by Tracy Twyman that explains. I would love to find out that this is bad information.

Isn't Tracy Twyman a proponent of the Reptilian Shapeshifters theory?
I've heard her joke about it. I believe she's a notch or two above David Icke in the gullibility department. She does cover some occult subjects, but I think her writing on economic issues is where she really shines.

Scary, some people are.

I know there are plenty of gold bugs out there, but since the dollar is being seriously devalued ... the Fed is printing money like mad, despite that it can't print enough to cover our debt ... the tanking of the dollar is probably inevitable.

I'd buy gold if we were facing hyper-inflation, but our rising prices aren't due to inflation. The dollar is worth so little now that we simply have to pay more for goods and services.

Holding some gold isn't a bad idea, but converting all cash to gold right now is not a good idea. It will be years before we see any inflationary period again ... unless the Fed saves the dollar. Rotsa ruck.
