As I'm reading the book I decided to look around the place in Apple Maps and has spotted the place by this address "Vernal, UT 84078
United States". I assume it's a hotel with several reservoirs of water, right? Has anybody been there?

Nope. Its located about 2 miles south of Ft Duschane, UT -- about 30 miles to the west of Vernal.

This the place I was asking about. I do realize that is not the Skinwalker ranch. Question what is it?

I think it is some kind of "heavy" industrial site. possibly making industrial chemicals.

I estimate that the different pools or reservoirs are used to dilute or concentrate a desired chemical.

A more accurate address is "12 Mile Wash Road, Vernal, UT, United States" (google maps "earth mode")

Vernal UT has at least 5 chemical companies listed on google maps:

I've seen drilling sites using that kind of black material, covering a hole, and it's used for a water supply. But there are a few of them? Something industrial yes but I can't say what.
