I think you will find this interesting, from skepticblog.org

Free episodes:

Writer seems like a douche. He raises one point that Barney was told about the story before he relayed it himself under hyhpnosis... but how do we know this? It one word against another.

And some of those comments... do you know if they are truly skeptics with an open mind, or are they debunkers? They seem like debunkers based on those comments.

I agree about the notion of fact interpretation, which is why I like to just be told facts a lot of the time as opposed to a story and conclusions, but these commenters are treating Stan as if he was Steven Greer!

What I find most interesting about this article and most debunking in general, is that there is no actual discussion of issues with the evidence or conclusions reached.

It's simply name-calling and innuendo, nothing more.

If you start with the position that UFOs are nonsense you rapidly come to the conclusion that UFO investigators are charlatans. This reasoning is internally consistent but begins with a provably (IMHO) false premise.

I had a friend in the past with some pretty extreme mental problems. We're no longer friends mostly because I couldn't live in his world -- my reality and his simply didn't mesh. My life itself was in conflict to his delusions and when push came to shove he'd rather defend his delusions than keep our friendship. The tone and lack of actual content of our later conversations matched this blog post pretty closely.

Most self-described "UFO skeptics" are not skeptics in the true meaning of the word, but skepticultists / skeptopaths.

The above quotes and others in this thread is the reason I still check out threads that catch my eye. Although I left most of the fray, I still am interested in the overall subject.

Thanks folks for the excellent insights.

Im still hoping youll get those Moon photos out there Don!

I am skeptical of most claims about UFOs and Alien abduction.

I am skeptical of nearly all claims of psychic ability, and of course Ghosts.

I am skeptical of bigfoot sightings, and the loch ness monster.

I am however pretty open minded, because I myself have seen things I cannot explain.

You can be skeptical of things, and be open minded, because in most cases that are total bullshit, you will see it immediately. As far as Stanton Friedman goes, I really don't know much about the man, except that he's written a bunch of books on UFO's, but apparently not anything revolutionary in the world of Nuclear Physics.

As a matter of fact some time in the next couple of weeks, according to the producer I have been working with, there MIGHT be some very good news concerning those lunar photos.

Moon photos... I have been wanting to see some REALLY good photos. There's been some weird stuff about the moon, and rumors of a crystalline city.

Mars also has some strange stuff on its surface too, that makes you wonder.

Ive seen some cool stuff in some moon photos. ONe of my favourites is still the rolling rock. It looks and acts suspiciously unlike a rock. But there are quite a few interesting moon photos.

Looking forward to seeing Dons as according to Don one of them shows what looks like a bridge or walk-way over a crater.

Btw, it seems there is a sequel to it:

"Skeptologists attack Ufologists"
Skeptologists Attack Ufologists | TDG - Science, Magick, Myth and History

Chris Rutkowski has posted about it in his blog, Stanton Friedman and Kevin Randle to responded.

I've e-mailed Chris Rutkowski privately to share my opinion, that the "skeptology" folks are basically trying to stir up controversy to get attention and "linkbaiting" for their blogs.

PS: An aggregate feed of several UFO blogs can be found at ufo (if you don't want to subscribe to each one separately).

My biggest problem with them is they really do seem to be close-minded rather than open-minded skeptics. Essentially debunkers.
