If I had a spare 100k Id sponsor David & Jeff a trip to Skinwalker Ranch

Nothin' to see here
I assume most people have read this book by now? Its called Hunt for the Skinwalker and Im sure most people have at least heard of this saga.

Man, Id really love to see the results of Jeff and David spending a week up there (you could go too Gene - to write about it). The main reason is that Jeff seems to be an extreme extreme experiencer and David not far behind as far as having strange stuff happen goes (remember, most people go through the entire life without a single paranormal incident).

So I think the combination of having Jeff Ritzmann and David Biedny on this ranch for a couple weeks, combined with the obviously super potent forces that exist there would be beyond fascinating.

For anyone that hasnt rad the book, I highly recommend checking it out. Some of the more bizarre occurances:

*The main rancher - Gorman - sees a blue glassy orb about hte size of a basketball. This thing is moving around somewhat intelligently through a pasture in front of the house. His dogs chase after it and manage to chase it into the thicker forest just beyond the field, but hours later have still not returned (the dogs). Gorman goes over to find his dogs burnt to a crisp with a large circular burn mark on the ground.

*A scientist investigating the ranch sees some sort of tunnel through the night vision goggles. Through this tunnel a dark humanoid shaped entity wiggles through, breaks free of the tunnel and runs off.

*Gormans finds his bulls all crammed into a tiny trailer on the edge of their enclosure with no way in other than a tightly locked door. Impossible for them to have gotten in, but nevertheless 4 huge bulls were all wedged in this trailer.

And the list goes on. So while I think it will be scary beyong belief for Jeff and Dave, Id pay alot of money to see the results.

I'd go out there for free. Well, pay my plane ticket and give me booze and the occasional samich. You know, the modern day meaning of free.

I like George Knapp, but the Skinwalker Ranch, is nothing but lore and rumor. 10 years out there and nothing but anecdotes? Sorry, I'm not impressed. They failed in one area... having cameras strapped to everyone.......

So youre skeptical of the whole thing? AFAIK the majority of the book was written by a scientist named Colm Kelleher.

I guess you have to decide whether or not what the Gormans said was true. IMO the fact that NIDS actually purchased the ranch seems to lend some credibility. I also heard an interview with Colm that sounded pretty respectable, but I guess if you dont trust the Gormans then its a moot point.

I would be interested to hear others opinions. I know there was lots of stories floating around but the book seems to shut down most of them and just details actual events experienced on the ranch, first hand by them (the scientists) and second hand through the Gormans.

(btw the reason for the 100k is I suspect it would take that much to actually find out where the ranch is and get permission)

I'm skeptical about any "paranormal" claims. Doesn't mean I am convinced nothing happened, it only means I am not convinced something did.

Anytime it comes down to believing what such and such says, science wasn't done. Even if he/she is a scientist.

Bigelow bought the area. Ok, maybe he gave NIDs the money and then they bought it. I forget.

" (btw the reason for the 100k is I suspect it would take that much to actually find out where the ranch is and get permission)"

I've talked with many who got there for almost free. All they paid was for gas.

Knapp will tell you they were more haunted by onlookers than they were by anything spooky, overall.

Is Bigelow the rich person form Vegas or whatever that sponsored the whole thing and gave them access to a jet?

Out of curiosity have you read the book?

I had a blonde three titty bich read me half the book, before I decided to watch Different Strokes.

Yes, Bigelow is that person. Don't tell anyone, he'll kill me.

I've talked to a guy who was hit in the chest and knocked unconscious by an orange basketball sized orb. My guess would be ball-lightning. I also know a guy, well, knew a guy, he's dead now...had a smaller orange orb come through an open door, went through his t.v. screen, burning a 2" hole through the glass, exited the top and went through the ceiling and knocked out the upstairs neighbor's t.v.!

In the case of the Gormans.... he was seeing orbs that floated around intelligently seemingly searching for him or his dogs or something else. Ball lightning is quite fleeting AFAIK.

Something probably did happen there? alot of the storys from Skinwalker seem ridicilious at best. Eighty per cent seem way out there to me personally, i could be wrong, others might disagree with my point of view. But that twenty per cent, somewhat matchs my encounters not exactly! Anyway, i will never talk about it full stop, because that stuff is like from the twilight zone or something?People will only call you nuts or crazy if you do, it aint worth it.

I did speak on one high strangeness encounter and that is enough. A ghostly box in my bedroom that came from the top of the room which went through the floor boards. People may say did you fall asleep? I dont believe i did because i believe i would have been aware of that if i had.

Anyway i dont think David or jeff need more weird stuff to happen to them, you are pushing boundaries!.... This stuff could bite you in the ass where you really feel it. It not to be messed with.

We probably have people who are greedy here exploiting this story for there own selfish needs. Skinwalker ranch is probably a dead case, however that still doesnt stop people from takeing advantage.

Dude, youre not going to get chastised or labelled a nut here. If its a legitimate experience I can safely speak for myself and others of a similar mindset here in saying that you have nothing to fear in sharing.

Ya i Know what your saying. But you have to understand some stuff has to remain private. I know it is hard for you to understand, since i am on a pananormal website so how come i dont reveal more details ?. There is a number of reasons one being my honesty.. people will doubt my story, and me as an individual, and to be honest friend i dont need that .. I like posting here and i like reading other people storys and comments. so i rather just leave at that, if that changes i will post it here , thanks anyway GSB.

Darkness on the Edge of Town Radio show has an interesting interview with some onlookers who went out there. They claimed to have experienced some very weird stuff. I found the show interesting, though they have no evidence to back it up. Anyone interested in Skinwalker Ranch should give it a listen.

I found most of the so-called evidence in the book very anecdotal and hearsay, so for that reason, I'm not overly-excited by the Skinwalker Ranch story. For me, the value of the book is not so much the story, as the way Colm Kelleher and his team approached their research, and the ideas discussed in the wrap-up chapters. I found it refreshing to come across a scientist who took an open-minded and inquiring approach to the paranormal, rather than simply setting out to debunk the whole thing.

I kind of agree with Irishseekers here.

That it might be a bit like tempting providence to ask Jeff or David to take a look at the Skinwalker ranch. Active or not.
Having said that, I must admit I have often wished they could go and spend some time down in the Canaima region of Venezuela.

I understand what youre saying, but I actually found the wrap up towards the end kind of boring. I was going to stop reading. It seemed to me to be 'Paranormal 101' for those people who may bought the book that arent into this stuff to begin with.
