I emailed a query to New Page Books asking if they'd be interested in taking a look at my new book. They just responded saying that while it sounds interesting, they don't deal in faction, only nonfiction.

Why not call someone there and see if you can give correct their mistake? I presume they're not so large that you can't reach a human :D

Well they're right it is a work of faction. Just I say as much in the pitch letter, where apparently Pet Ghosts author neglected to.
