Is Ward a covert CIA Op?

Free episodes:

Dnold7X

I need to talk to the aliens
There is a guy named Ward that calls in, he seems mysterious. Could he be a covert CIA plant or deep cover black op? I mean he seems to ask probing questions to Don and Rich about things. Ward even takes notes I heard and then calls, he seems to be using a falsified voice

Does anyone know if Ward is parked in a white van outside during the show? is he following me or following don?

is ward a cia agent?

are they going to come get me?

Lol. Good onya Ward. You and Ryan are the true stalwarts of Don's show. It would be nice if others could ring in but if not for you both then the show would be lesser for it.
I have rung in a couple of times myself and i found it great to be able to talk to Don and guests "live".
Kudos to you both for helping to keep a great show interesting and vital.
Rock on!:)

Does Ryan post here?

I heard him call in on a show a week or so ago where he said he wasnt going to call in for a while.

Ryan if you read this, keep calling in buddy. As far as Im concerned youre as much a part of the show as the 1-hr commercial break!

In my imagination I've been doing radio for about three years. But really you should have taken that as a compliment, I find you and your guests more compelling than any callers.

I almost always find listener call-ins to be a nuisance.

ouch

well i do take notes and follow the topic, and try to ask relevant and thought provoking questions
i think Ryan does as well. For that matter i think every caller Don has had around the globe has asked some really good questions. After what 30 + weeks on the air they have all been good questions.

I might just be prejudiced as a result of hearing so many idiots call in on Coast to Coast. Maybe when there's a caller I sort of drift off.

I think Wards great, its always good to hear from him. He always has interesting stuff to say, is well versed on the topic, and has a good amount of charisma to go with it.
I would award him the title of 'Most charismatic paranormal radio show caller' but at the moment I think its a tie between him and 'Video Dave'

Dark Matters wouldn't be the same without him though

Well, as a matter of record .. it is my job as host to keep the show flowing. Having both listened as well as hosting radio for many-many years .. a good host (and a good guest) begs to have audience participation in the form of call ins. That is often what gives radio its majic. And as host if I get a "off kilter" call it is my job to hustle the guy (or gal) off the air. However .. I have mostly been blessed by well informed and up to date callers. In all the years I have done radio I have not had that many "off the wall" calls. C2C? Well that is a different animal completely.

I agree that a good host generates (along with a good guest) stimulating conversation with the callers. Maybe the problem with Coast has a little bit to do with the host although I don't like to bash folks without knowing them. However, I have noticed that a lot of the callers to Coast to Coast in recent years appear to be either high on something (late nite drinking mabe?) or a little unfocused. :-) Anyway, glad to have DMR out there and hope to listen more often.

My only problem with call-ins (or guests or that matter) on radio programs is when they go into the "you know" or "uh" loop. I start counting "you knows" and don't hear much else after that.

We actually have the "power" to do our show live and take calls. The network provides a screener if we need one. However, I agree there are complications involved in such a setup. Remember, too, that if a show isn't prerecorded, there will be lots of pauses and changes in direction. Because we're recorded in advance, I have the time to clip some of the long pauses and "uh hums," but people don't talk that way in real life, so I have to keep a few of the flubs in to keep it natural.

On the other hand, there's something to be said for total spontaneity, and having listener interaction can be a good thing, if properly controlled. We continue to look into our options for The Paracast.
